i cant fucking help it, my bones are shaking under my skin.

Basically, this is just an update of a few new things that I've been rockin' lately. I'm waiting on a whole bunch of stuff in the post, so keep your eyes out for that.

More Than Life - Love Let Me Go

This is the debut record from this Brittish hardcore band, following the release of an EP, Brave Enough To Fail. They play music in the vein of Defeater, Touche Amore and the like. According to itunes, I'm 15 plays in and I can definately say that I'm still loving it and have an inkling that this will pop up in my top records for 2010. The vocals are raw and emotion filled, with the music perfectly following suit, sounding like it actually takes a bit of talent to play. The artwork is pretty cool also, I mean, who doesn't like boobs, and from what I see the vinyl looks amazing, I'm really disappointed I missed out on a copy. Though I'm currently stuck with a download (oops), I have ordered a legit version from their label Purgatory Records and eagerly await the arrival of this.

Nevermore - The Obsidian Conspiracy

A change of suit just a wee bit, to the new full length from the American metal veterans Nevermore. I missed their Australia tour a few years back, mainly due to my being underage, but since then I have enjoyed quite a bit of their music, predominantly This Godless Endeavour and Enemies Of Reality. This piece, however, easily tops those in my books. Constantly transcending genres, this CD has everything, from the indistinguishable vocals to the technical guitar and drum work, though it is a step away from their previous work. An in-depth analysis would take hundreds of words the sound changes that much, though I'm going to leave it at a this is a must hear and, again, will be one of my top few at the end of the year.

I Exist - I: A Turn For The Worse

Back to something Australian, this is debut from the Canberra band I Exist, playing heavy hardcore, and following their debut 7" Three Nails And A Book Of Flaws. I don't really have much to say about this besides the fact that I'm quite enjoying it, enjoyed their set with Shai Hulud and look forward to seeing them again on tuesday night and at hardcore this year, being one of the many bands I cannot wait for. Great artwork and a solid debut release, preluding the many things still to come.

That'll probably do for now as bedtime is looming. There is a ridiculous amount of new stuff coming out soon that I cannot wait for and/or have on pre-order including new Five Star Prison Cell, The Ghost Inside and Ceremony and a bunch of previously released records I've ordered courtesy of Prime Cuts. With all of this and tours from Graf Orlock/Dangers and Miles Away/Break Even, June is looking like it will be an amazing month.
